Mmmm, Cheeseburger...

Just gotta say...without question, the best cheeseburgers in Charlottetown are found at Cedar's Eatery.

Without question. Go ahead, prove me wrong.

Despite the fact they cut 6 months off your life when you finish them, Peter Pan's burgers have always been my choice burger on PEI.

Good burger, yes. But too much on the fastfood-burger side of the table. The Cedar's burger is a restaurant-burger. They really shouldn't be compared.

Sure, going without burgers will add ten years to your life. but it's not like you get your choice of years ("Great! I'll take my late twenties, early thirties!"). Nope ... the years that get added won't be much fun.
So I say "Fill yer boots". I love the Peter Pan burgers, but I'm with Rob, they're not comparable to a restaurant cheeseburger like the exquisite Cedars Eatery burgers (man, they do a LOT of things really well there!). The Olde Dublin Pub makes a decent, very large cheeseburger, as does the Merchantman. I miss George's, just because the burgers there ... while sitting pretty heavily ... were everything a cheeboigah ought to be.

Rob...at the risk of incriminating myself along with you, I believe you were captured on film stating that the best burgers in town were at Peter Pan... and we shall never speak of the costumes again.

Rob must LOVE being reminded of that wonderful commercial. :)

Tim, quite simply, I lied. I did say that Peter Pan burgers were the best burgers in town. Or, more to the point (and to ease my barely-guilty conscience), the character I was playing said it.
But thanks for bringing that up. Again.

Hey.... at least I didn't bring up the cow's commercials too..... oops :)

The Cows commercials were beautiful little pieces of art. No problem with the Cows ads.

Ahhh burgers.... I've lost at least 8 years of my life by eating my favorite dish..
As Nils said, choice on the actual loss of 'quality' life is debatable... Would I trade a scrumptious cheese burger with fries today, enjoyed with existing family for an extra few years that would probably consist of staring at pictures of my (future) grand kids (who would likely laugh at me anyway unless their mom should force them to see 'Gramps' at the 'Manor') said pictures hanging on my government painted wall in my long term care double room unit whilst sitting on a bed pan grunting an hour before I pass away..? Would that not be a significant downgrade in pleasure vs a double cheese with extra onions and a diet Pepsi at 44 years of age today?
Calico, a realist.

Yes, Calico, but a double cheese with extra onions from where?

The Richmond Dairy bar. Richmond PEI - #1 locally, without a doubt...... however..
The best ultimate, artery clogging, intestinal cleaning, 1/2 lb tasty meaty concoction I ever had was on the campus of Syracuse University some years back while attending an Orangemen football game at the Carrier Dome. A little place next door where they served 1 foot high Coors draft mugs for 99 cents to wash it down with, 'burgers only' served where they ask you how you would like it done.. 'well, medium rare etc.. toppings were self serve from crisp bacon to hot peppers to different types of sauces. Almost orgasmic in its pleasure, of course I was a fat drunk old fart amongst 30,000 hard bodied pony tailed preppy female american university students, my judgement may have been skewed.
I must be old when the memory of that gorgeous hamburger comes before those nubile young blond nympths...
