Sketch22 Auditions

Sketch22 is looking for an actor to be part of our show this summer in Charlottetown.  To help us in that search, we are holding auditions in the very near future.

Our requirements are that the person be over the age of 19, be available for performances Thursday and Friday evenings July 6-Sept.8, as well as available for rehearsals prior to the production run.  We are interested in both male and female actors.  Being funny is a plus.

If you want to audition, send an email to jason@sketch22.ca and he'll set you up with a time.

Well, I'm definately over 19. I can't make Thursday or Friday during those dates and I'm sure enough not funny. Oh yeah, and I live 350 kms away from you. Do I qualify? I got the age thing going for me right? If only I could understand the concept of humour....

Perhaps you could make this summer's entire run a reality show to find your new member. Like, some monster hybrid of Survivor, Idol, The Apprentice, aaaaand... that Fox show that tried to find people's dads. It could be called "Sketch 22: Operation Georgetown".

Can't think of anything funnier then Georgetown.

Steve, based on some of the sketches that we've been writing, I'm kinda thinking that this summer it may well be a surreality show.
Some strange (but funny) stuff...

I'm thinking that stuff from Rainbow Valley last year will surface?
I like strange stuff. Like, our weirdo tourism minister (or some such local person) in a white tux with a midget... welcoming people to "Gentle Island", where all their bland and most sedate dreams come true. A location shoot at the airport would be funny... or Borden. "Da bridge, boss, da bridge!"

I don't know... cheering for Dale Earnhardt Jr shows you have at least a morbid sense of humour.

Sweet Jazzus, if I only had a warped sense of humour like youse Oiland fellers, I'd apply...
Calico, looking for work, burnt out banker..
Looking forward to this years show..

Hey! ...don't be dissing Junior. His Daddy's ghost helps him drive..sorta. Junior would be good in 22. Or at least he'd bring in the sponsors. "Sketch22" brought to you by Wrangler Jeans....
yikes.

Josh became president of Toronto (or so he claims), so he doesn't like the arts anymore. Infact he was caught saying: "If I have to talk to one more left-wing nut about more handouts for the lazy art-pussies, I'll fuckin choke their skinny hippie necks and lock em up for good!!"
So we decided we don't need another politician in the show.

"another politician"? Who the hell currently in the show do you consider to be a politician?
