Absolutely loved it!Wit...I loved the way it ended. Absolutely loved it!
Without spoiling it too much for those who haven't seen it: Chase seemed to be totally playing with us, where every scene involving Tony (especially his final scene) was packed with suspense over what might happen. I found myself scouring each scene for hints of what would happen, for symbols of what it all might mean (loved the table-top jukebox, focusing on the various songs, trying to guess which title would get picked).
I was totally on edge, worrying that what I expected would happen would happen, hoping it would, hoping it wouldn't happen in any of the ways I expected it to play out. Many people will complain, I suspect, that the way the show ended will be seen as a cop out, but I don't see it that way. I thought it was perfect.
Perfect.
Can't wait to go back to season 1 and watch it all again (this time with my son, who's expressed interest in watching it).
Robhttp://annekenstein.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5709531.post-13315188886626995302007-06-11T04:27:45.000-03:002007-06-11T04:27:45.000-03:00They didn't know how to end it, so they didn&#...They didn't know how to end it, so they didn't end it. Very poorly written conclusion which they had 8 years to prepare for.
I think I am gonna rent season 1 and start over.
Waynenoreply@blogger.com
